 The Town of Waterford Clerk’s office issued a total of 241 absentee ballots; this includes those sent, issued in-person.

At the close of polls at 8:00 pm, The Clerk’s office had not received back a total of 51 absentee ballots.

No provisional ballots were issued.

Please note that your garbage & recycling must be placed by the road no later than 6 am on you pick-up day. Routes change periodically and you cannot count on the same time every time.

Tax bills were sent out December 12th but you can access your bill and/or your receipt by clicking “Property Tax Inquiries and Receipts” on the right under Quick Links. Less is more in the search boxes, for example only put in your address or last name. You will also be able to print receipts once the bill has been paid.

You can now register to vote online at 


Register now! Go to the MyvoteWisconsin Website at myvote.wi.gov you can print off voter registration applications, check your voter registration status, find your polling place, see what's on your ballot, and request an absentee ballot (military and permanent overseas voters only). For non-military voters you can print off the absentee ballot application. 

If you are registering to vote by mail, it must be postmarked no later than January 29, 2020(You still can send in sooner!!). Remember to bring your proof of residence!

If you are registering in our office, our office is open 8 am to 4 pm Monday thru Friday. Remember to bring your proof of residence!

For examples of acceptable proof of residence please click “Elections/Voting” on the left hand side.

Sign up for your absentee ballot now! Click on “Elections/Voting” for an application. Remember you can mail in your application or complete an application in our office but Remember Voter ID is required to receive a ballot, so please bring it with you or send a copy with your application. You may also sign up for absentee ballots at www.myvote.wi.gov

Absentee Voting

During in-person absentee voting, voters must present photo ID just like on Election Day.

Voters are also encouraged to visit the Wisconsin Elections Commission’s Photo ID website  www.bringit.wisconsin.gov for information about the new law.  


 New WI Voter Photo ID Rules – Major Changes

We would like to urge all voters in the Town of Waterford to plan now to make sure they have the acceptable photo ID needed to vote in all elections.

 Most voters already have one of the types of photo ID required to vote. 

Election Day

On Election Day, voters must provide one of the following photo IDs before they can cast a ballot.  The following IDs are still valid if expired, if they have expired since November 8, 2016:

            -Wisconsin Driver License
            -Wisconsin State ID Card
            -Military ID Card
            -U.S. Passport Book or Card

The following forms of photo ID are also acceptable:

-A Certificate of Naturalization, within 2 years of issuance
-Driver License Receipt issued by the WI DOT, within 45 days of issuance
-ID issued by a federally recognized Wisconsin Indian Tribe (Can still be used if expired)

-Veterans Affairs ID Card (must be unexpired or have no expiration)
-A photo ID issued by a Wisconsin accredited university or college, or technical college along with an enrollment verification document. The card must show the voter’s name, signature, photo, the date the card was issued, and the date the card expires.  The issued date cannot be more than two years from the expiration date.  The card may still be used to vote even if it is expired.

 An acceptable photo ID is not required to include a current address.

If you do not have a valid WI Driver’s License or WI State ID you can receive a free WI State ID from your local DMV if you specifically request a free ID for voting purposes.  If you don’t have documentation, like a birth certificate, you can still get a free ID for voting after one visit to the DMV using their petition process. Please contact your local DMV or your Local Clerk for more information.
