Operations Committee

CHARTER

Scope

The Town of Waterford – Operations Committee provides the community with visibility and input to the following Town of Waterford municipal operations departments:

  • Assessor
  • Building Inspector
  • Clerk & Treasurer’s Office
  • Municipal Court
  • Public Works

The Operations Committee exists to strengthen and optimize the working relationships between these departments and those they serve.

The Committee scope excludes the Town’s life safety departments (i.e. Police and Fire/Rescue)

Objectives

The Town of Waterford – Operations Committee is chartered to achieve the following objectives:

  • Foster trusted working relationships between Town municipal operating departments and those they serve
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Wisconsin statutes chapter 60 pertinent to the policies, procedures, responsibilities, and goals of Town municipal operating personnel
  • Regularly assess performance of Town municipal operating departments for alignment with Wisconsin statutes Chapter 60.
  • Maintain a current understanding of community viewpoints on Town operational services
  • Support Town municipal operating personnel through constructive, fact-based communication with the community
  • Act as an advocate for Town residents on matters pertaining to municipal operations
  • Develop and maintain a process for handling complaints regarding Town municipal operations
  • Identify, justify, and recommend ideas for improving Town municipal operations
  • Assist Town municipal operating departments in implementing board-approved improvements
  • Provide the Town Board with regular reports on Committee activities and accomplishments
